Burnout Recovery
Life gets busy. Having to balance work, home life, health, family...it can feel like there is not enough time in the day to accomplish everything and still rest. Moving through life at 100% is a sure-fire way to burn out.

What is the difference between stress and burnout?
Burnout is an extended period of stress that feels as though things will not improve, while stress is short-lived or tied to a specific goal.

What does burnout look like?
Burnout can present in a few ways:
Physical exhaustion
A toll of taking care of everything else except yourself can eventually lead to low energy and feeling like you're running on fumes. Our bodies are not meant to be in a state of constant stress and action. Ensuring that you are eating, don't have any nutritional deficiencies, and have sustainable methods of managing stress are important to help you feel revitalized again.
Hormonal imbalances
When things don't feel right, we are often quick to blame hormones. While we can definitely check hormones to ensure that everything is in range, however we also want to ensure that root cause is taken care of. The stress axis and the hormonal axis are very tightly connected, challenges in one will often lead to imbalances in the other.
Poor resiliency and low motivation
Over time, if we are living a life that is not in line with our values or we are not maintaining our own boundaries, this can lead to a gradual decline in resiliency and motivation. This may show up in our lives as sense of dread about work, and frequent feelings of cynicism, anger, or irritability.
